PCTEL Debuts SeeHawk Drive Test Suite 2.0

Supporting both drive and in-building testing on all PCTEL scanning receiver platforms, PCTEL has announced the release of SeeHawk Drive Test Suite 2.0.

On crowded 2G and 3G networks, Global LTE deployments will require interference management. Users can now collect superior WCDMA/GSM interference management data from CLARIFY hardware with SeeHawk’s easy-to-use graphical interface. During the same drive campaign, SeeHawk users can also collect FD-LTE, TD-LTE or 2G/3G technology data from SeeGull scanning receivers. Using SeeHawk’s data display and analysis tools, users can monitor coverage and quality levels, and make quick diagnoses, the company stated.

“Operators already use SeeHawk to deploy and manage in-building networks around the world,” said Jeff Miller, PCTEL's senior vice president of sales and marketing. “With extended support for all PCTEL hardware platforms including CLARIFY Collector, SeeHawk gives users access to the complete set of PCTEL’s advanced scanning capabilities. SeeHawk’s industry-leading drive test solution effectively addresses all stages of network deployment and management.”

SeeHawk also exports data for post-processing to third-party tools or to PCTEL’s own CLARIFY Analyzer and Explorer System. Through PCTEL direct sales channels, SeeHawk is available for license now and can be used in conjunction with PCTEL's SeeGull LX, EX and MX series of scanning receivers as well as CLARIFY hardware and software solutions. For the global wireless market, PCTEL develops antenna, scanning receiver, and network solutions.

Recently, the company announced displayed its line of precision GPS, mobile and infrastructure communication antennas along with its high speed scanning receivers for signal intelligence at the 2011 MILCOM Conference. The company said that its SeeGull scanning receivers are relevant to a variety of defense applications, including communication surveys, base station manipulation, and IED defense.
