Traffix CEO Delivers a Speech about Telecommunications Providers Moving to LTE

Advising on how operators can handle the signaling bombardment that LTE networks encounter due to massive mobile data use, CEO of Traffix Systems Ben Volkow delivered a speech during a local professional forum.

To assist 4G operators in confronting the massive growth in Diameter with context-aware routing, load balancing and other network maintenance and management mechanisms to enable constantly high-quality service in newly rolled-out 4G networks without disruptions or glitches, the Traffix Signaling Delivery Controller (SDC) platform was purpose-built from the ground up in Diameter protocol, the company stated in a press release.

“If once there were less than a handful of signaling usage scenarios focused on voice services, now in data-dominated 4G there are hundreds of new services and signaling usage patterns, and dozens of first-time use cases such as policy control and enforcement, roaming, legacy to 4G interworking functions, and many more,” said Volkow, in a forum of telecom professionals.

Carriers are guaranteed cost-effective seamless connectivity, unlimited scalability and simplified maximum control to support subscribers' heavy and growing use of mobile broadband data with the Traffix SDC Diameter Gateway, Diameter Load Balancer and Diameter Router solutions consolidated on one platform.

Traffix SDC platform prevents situations such as server overload and service failure for telecom providers of all sizes to offer the optimal customer experience enhanced by LTE services when located throughout the core and edge of the network.

In other news, Traffix Systems recently announced that it joined the GSMA as an associate member. The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide.

Spanning more than 220 countries, the GSMA unites nearly 800 of the world's mobile operators, as well as more than 200 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem, including handset makers, software companies, equipment providers, Internet companies, and media and entertainment organizations.
