Quantenna Demonstrates 802.11n MIMO Technology at CES

Quantenna Communications, a provider of solutions for Wi-Fi networking, is demonstrating its 802.11n MIMO technology optimized for service providers and 802.11ac chipset for retail applications at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, taking place this week from Jan. 10-13.

Quantenna claimed that its 802.11n 4x4 MIMO technology is capable of distributing signals of up to 40 Mbps over Wi-Fi anywhere in the home without loss of quality at more than 200 feet and even through concrete walls. The technology is designed to help enable a new generation of converged broadcast and Internet-based entertainment services that require an ultra-reliable, high-performance Wi-Fi connection.

The company’s QAC2300 802.11ac solution builds on its 4x4 MIMO foundation to enable 2 Gbps wireless routers. It is the first gigabit-speed IEEE 802.11ac solution that includes 4x4 MIMO to enable best-in-class wireless broadband capabilities to bandwidth-intensive retail and consumer electronics applications including wireless routers, access points, and high-end consumer electronics devices. The third generation chipset also fully supports the IEEE802.11n standard with advanced features including 4x4 Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO), dynamic digital beamforming, mesh networking and wireless channel monitoring and optimizing.

Officials with the company exclaimed that whether it's streaming HD video anywhere in the home or need for more bandwidth, service providers and retail manufacturers have one thing in common, they are choosing Quantenna's superior Wi-Fi technology to enable multimedia entertainment in the home. Streaming and sharing HD content anywhere in the home wirelessly across multiple devices is driving consumers' desire for reliable and high performance Wi-Fi connectivity. No other company is as well positioned as Quantenna and its unmatched 4x4 MIMO technology on display at CES will showcase this performance, according to officials.
