Ethertronics Reaches New Milestone, Ships 500 Millionth Embedded Antenna

Ethertronics has successfully reached a new milestone of shipping its 500 millionth antenna in the fourth quarter of 2011, further strengthening company's position in the market.

Since its inception in 2000, Ethertronics has been offering innovative antenna and RF system solutions, which promises to deliver the best connected experience for operators, OEMs, and consumers.

The company’s patented Isolated Magnetic Dipole (IMD) technology has a legacy as a strong foundation for passive, as well as active antennas designs, according to company officials.

Speaking on this occasion, Laurent Desclos, president and CEO of Ethertronics, said that their team at Ethertronics sees this milestone as a testament to their company's strength in providing their OEM partners with RF and antenna system solutions that help differentiate themselves from their competitors.

"Our acceleration in numbers is proven by our triumph of more than doubling the number of antennas we shipped within the last two years, referencing 200 million cumulative from 2000 to 2009," Desclos added.

The company also takes the credit for introducing the "active" antenna system solutions for the next-generation networks such as 4G and LTE. Many OEMs in the wireless industry have selected this design including handset, tablet, notebook, industrial handheld, medical, sports equipment, remote monitoring and many more.

In related news, Ethertronics announced that its Ether1.2.1 product line for LTE Notebooks has been awarded the 2011 CONNECT 24th annual Most Innovative New Product "MIP" Award in the Communications and IT category.
