Busy Parents Can Now Make Appointments Right from Their Phones

Have you ever needed to schedule an appointment only to find you and the business you need to talk to have different schedules?  We have all been there. Kuyam aims to change that.

Kuyam is an online scheduling platform that helps you easily schedule appointments with local businesses and arrange your life. You no longer need to call or find the right time to make the call.

With their mobile app, the company makes it easier for people on the go to schedule those little things in life, like a haircut. "With the mobile app it is now easier than ever to make appointments on the go," said founder Kourosh Gohar. "While you are waiting to pick up your child at school or standing in line at the grocery store, you can book appointments at all your favorite local businesses in just a few clicks on your phone."

The mobile app will be free and available for download for iPhone and Android phones on April 29, though that is optimistic. Apple reviews all apps submitted to their store and the timelines vary. Even still, the app debuted at TechCrunch Disrupt New York this week.

The online social scheduling company is one of many services that have begun to highlight the next step in our digital age - information coming to us. Many service based businesses, like spas, already have online scheduling capabilities, but Kuyam brings the ability to share with your friends and family the businesses and services you enjoy the most. This turns information searching into discovery - having relevant information presented to us for action.

The service is not just for use with for-profit businesses – it also supports discovery of local not-for-profit organizations. At this time, Kuyam only supports the Los Angeles and Santa Monica areas in California. It is free to users but businesses pay a fee based on number of appointments, although there is no charge for being listed.
