New Relic Introduces a New App for Monitoring iOS Applications

If you have any kind of online presence for your business, you have to monitor how your site or application is performing in order to adjust your strategy. With the right application management provider you can monitor different metrics and use the information to provide your consumer with what they need in a way that will seem intuitive to them. New Relic is a SaaS solution based provider for applications with more than 35,000 customers in 36 countries monitoring 1,062,280 applications and capturing 95 billion daily metrics. The introduction of the new iOS application will provide many of these tools for one of the most popular phones in the market.

The app from New Relic will provide users with a complete view of the performance of their application. With this information users can see the availability of their production app and determine how healthy it is so they can tune and optimize it to keep it running at optimal levels. Users can see where the app needs to be fixed in the line of code.

The iPhone app also provides push notification, historical visibility into the performance of the application, real user performance (RUM) and how resources such as CPU, memory, and disk are being utilized. The visibility across your app will aggregate application response time, apdex customer satisfaction scoring, application throughput, application topology mapping and database operations summary - by wall time, throughput and response time.

All of the data gathered by the application might seem overwhelming at first, but once you know how to use the information you will not be able live without it. These types of tools are essential to keep your Web presence in the best possible shape so errors can be fixed immediately and positive responses recorded.

"To help our customers love their apps anytime and anywhere, we have created an iPhone app that will enable them to have seamless access to their app performance. The New Relic iOS app provides all the comprehensive visibility available through the New Relic service giving mobility a new name. Whether at their desk or on the road, our customers can view problems when they happen and take immediate action," said Bill Hodak, director of product marketing, New Relic.
