Keynote to Offer Support for Popular Smartphones, Tablets and Mobile OSs

Keynote, a global leader in Internet and mobile cloud testing that currently collects over 700 million mobile and Web performance measurements daily, announced on Monday that its DeviceAnywhere platform will offer support for iOS 6, Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), and Windows 8 devices.

“DeviceAnywhere was designed specifically to allow organizations to test mobile apps and websites on any mobile device from any location,” said Rachel Obstler, senior director of product management at Keynote, in an article as seen on Keynote’s website. “Organizations can use this solution to improve customers’ satisfaction with their mobile solutions.”

With the constantly changing mobile landscape off of which the industry continues to build and add, Keynote helps testers keep up with these changes, along with allowing flexibility for when future changes are made by the various leaders of the mobile device market.

“As an increasing number of new mobile device types and form factors arise, Keynote is delivering the most up-to-date mobile testing solutions in the market,” Vik Chaudhary, vice president of product management and corporate development at Keynote, said in a statement carried on BusinessWire. “The ability to test across the latest device models and form factors with real devices gives users the most accurate way to test their mobile websites and mobile apps without the overhead of purchasing and maintaining a portfolio of mobile devices.”

“With the addition of these new devices across the DeviceAnywhere platform,” said Chaudhary, “users are able to leverage the power of real, remote, manual and automated device testing from the cloud.”

Customers who already own the DeviceAnywhere platform will have access to the newly supported devices, and Keynote is also offering a free trial of the platform for those who wish to learn more about device testing for mobile applications and webpages.
