Super Wi-Fi and Shared Spectrum Summit to Host Battle of the Devices Panel

“Show & Tell” panel will present leading white spaces radio devices

NORWALK, Conn. – August 7, 2013 – TMC and Crossfire Media today announced the Battle of the Devices Show & Tell, set to take place at Super Wi-Fi and Shared Spectrum Summit, being held August 27-29, 2013, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. On Tuesday, August 27 at 3:45 p.m., conference attendees will have the chance to watch as industry experts from top companies show off their white space devices, answering questions ranging from technical specifications and performance to throughput availability. 

Moderated by Barlow Keener, principal of Keener Law Group and specialist in communications law and development, the “Battle of the Devices: Show and Tell Round One” panelists include:

  • Jim Carlson, president and CEO of Carlson Wireless, has over 25 years of experience in the rural wireless communications industry and has demonstrated strong innovation and commitment to remote connectivity.
  • Andy Mancone, director of sales and marketing for KTS Wireless, champions the first-to-market agility platform of software-defined radios in test bed and production networks worldwide. Mancone has a deep knowledge of the industry; his insight has also given him the ability to help develop the Telemetry Plus philosophy for white space spectrum.
  • Darrin Mylet, business operations for Adaptrum, is well-known throughout the industry, having extensive experience in radio spectrums. Mylet’s patents include three on applying wireless to existing or emerging applications, location-based services and alerts.
  • Robert Wu, Ph.D, founder and CEO of 6Harmonics Inc, has over 20 years of experience working in wireless technologies. An industry expert, Dr. Wu has filed over 60 patents for 3G/4G systems and has had more than 50 papers published.
