Super Wi-Fi & Shared Spectrum Summit Explores Spectrum Alternatives and Opportunities

Norwalk, CT – August 29, 2013 – The Super Wi-Fi and Shared Spectrum Summit wrapped up in Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, providing attendees a deep understanding of shared spectrum’s true potential as well as the business and technical issues surrounding it, TMC and Crossfire Media announced. Sessions analyzed the current technological innovations that allow business to maximize their broadband capabilities as well as push new mobile revenue opportunities.

Highlights from the event include:

  • The Battle of the Devices Show & Tell Round, where industry experts from top companies showed off their white space devices, answering questions ranging from technical specifications and performance to throughput availability. The panel, moderated by Barlow Keener, principal of Keener Law Group, included Jim Carlson, president and CEO of Carslon Wireless;  Andy Mancone, director of sales and marketing for KTS Wireless; Darrin Mylet, business operations for Adaptrum, and Robert Wu, Ph.D, founder and CEO of 6Harmonics Inc.
  • An update on the explosive growth of White Spaces Technologies in countries around the world, including the efforts for harmonization of international standards.
  • An update on auctions and licenses, including opportunities in upstream spectrum.
