Franklin Wireless U600 4 GWE USB Mobile Broadband Modem Available via Sprint

Provider of wireless data products Franklin Wireless has announced the availability of its new U600 3G and 4GWE USB mobile broadband modem through Sprint.

The new U600 modem comes with many new features such as a 270-degree rotating hinge, four external antenna ports, and firmware update management object. In addition, it also features global positioning system location based services while on 3G and 4G antenna TX diversity which optimizes uploads while on WiMAX.

Company officials said that the U600 3G and 4G USB modem supports Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and Mac OS 10.5, 10.6 with Intel.

Moreover, it has separate light-emitting diode displays. Company officials said that this makes it easier for users to know whether they are connected to Sprint’s 3G or 4G network.

“The U600 builds upon the great successes Franklin Wireless has enjoyed with earlier 3G and 4G USB modems and we are very pleased to be able to continue to support Sprint as it builds its mobile broadband user base through the rapid deployment of its 4G network,” said OC Kim, president at Franklin Wireless.

Earlier this year in May, Franklin Wireless reported record revenue and net income for the third quarter of fiscal 2010 ended March 31, 2010, driven by strong demand for the company's dual-mode USB modems.
