KnowledgeTree for Android Tablet and Android Phone Released

Provider of cloud-based document management solutions KnowledgeTree has announced KnowledgeTree for Android Tablet and KnowledgeTree for Android Phone.

Designed for the mobile content and collaboration needs of mid-sized companies, the new Android mobile applications help accountants, lawyers, and other business professionals organize, edit, synch and manage documents and processes from wherever they are.

Additionally, KnowledgeTree also announced FolderSync. This is a new tool that powers the two-way synchronization of documents between a user’s local desktop and the KnowledgeTree cloud-based vault.

Thanks to this tool, business professionals can now always access the latest versions of documents – whether they are in their main or home office, at a client meeting, a court hearing or on the road while disconnected from the Internet. Company officials said that the new functionality not only ensures compliance but also removes versioning chaos.

“With the addition of FolderSync and our mobile applications, version control headaches and document chaos are relegated to history,” said Daniel Chalef, CEO at KnowledgeTree, adding that now CFOs, legal counsels, attorneys, accountants, and other business professionals have a complete suite of document management tools, which means they always are on the same page wherever they are, ultimately making them more productive.

For the mid-market customer in finance, law, and other professions, the company’s new functionalities include Access Anywhere; Always Current; Control Simplified. Company officials said that KnowledgeTree’s mobile apps enable business users to instantly connect to documents stored in their secure KnowledgeTree vault.

Moreover, advanced business process tools also ensure that documents stay controlled via document alerts, access controls, and a secure vault. Company officials said that KnowledgeTree allows users to select groups of documents to instantly synchronize with their cloud-based vault. Plus, changes made offline can be easily synched with the cloud to avoid versioning issues.

KnowledgeTree also puts users back in control of their documents with the ability to easily add and edit descriptions, group documents, create alerts, and build approval processes.

“KnowledgeTree makes document management easy and convenient. Its cloud-based model simplifies the process of organizing, storing, and retrieving these documents. And for an organization like ours, the ability to access documents securely from anywhere is advantageous,” said Selina Tolosa, director of assessment software and services at American Institutes for Research.

Earlier this month, the company announced the beta release of KnowledgeTree for Outlook, a new product that lets users securely store emails and attachments in KnowledgeTree’s online document vault and interact seamlessly with KnowledgeTree-hosted content directly from their Microsoft Outlook email application.
