VZW Network Customer Quality is Tops, J.D. Power and Associates Says

J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Wireless Customer Care Full Service Study-Volume ranked Verizon the best in the industry in customer care among national wireless providers.

According to the release, Big Red ranked highest in wireless customer care performance among full-service providers with an overall score of 762 on a 1,000-point scale. The next highest scores were Sprint at 745, AT&T at 743 followed by T-Mobile at 739.

In non-contract providers, Virgin Mobile took the top spot for customer care.

According to J.D. Power, creating a superior customer experience leads to a higher propensity for customers to spend more on services and a lower likelihood they will switch providers in the future. This is especially true among customers who own a 4G-enabled device, as they report spending $36 more per month and are more likely to say they "definitely will recommend" their current carrier than are customers who own a traditional mobile phone.

In other Big Red news, VZW is ramping up and getting ready for South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, TX later this month. Network technicians have prepared to ensure peak performance for Austin residents and festival-goers during SXSW.

Festival-goers flying in and out of Austin-Bergstrom International will have access to Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network, which is currently available to more than 200 million people in 196 markets across the U.S.

We realize the importance in customers wanting to share their experiences at SXSW and our customers' satisfaction with our service is a top priority," said region president Frank Antonacci. "We strive to exceed the everyday needs of our customers by enhancing our network - especially in the event of a large festival or gathering such as SXSW."
