The chairman of NeXXCom Wireless, Sal S. Benti, stated in a press release this week, “Our clients require data center access that near the speed of light…” The demanding clients he speaks of work within High Frequency Trading firms that have metropolitan connections (mainly New Jersey or London data centers): slow connections or delays of any kind are crucial matters. But Benti continues, “…These requirements have been the driving force behind our creation of these wireless links.”
NeXXCom Wireless is a company that creates the impossible, and this is because of their “turnkey” relationship with clients. Their clients state their needs, and the company creates the network, obtains the required licenses, and executes the project to its fruition. Benti states, "As a result, today we can provide point-to-point wireless access between key trading firms and financial data centers at latencies that are superior to traditional optical fiber solutions."
NeXXCom’s multi-Gigabit Ethernet wireless links stem from ultra broadband networks that boast the lowest latency imaginable for metropolitan connections. But NeXXCom provides other services in addition to metro high-frequency trading networks. They also provide cost efficient bandwidth services in rural and underserved markets, as well. The company is also developing “long-haul microwave,” where latency improvements are significantly faster than optical fiber links.
Below is a chart that illustrates NeXXCom’s fast links around areas where the majority of the financial trading community presides:
