MobileBits Launches SAMY in Russia

MobileBits Holdings Corp. has inked an exclusive agreement to offer its SAMY mobile marketing service in Russia.

This agreement with an undisclosed private retail equity partner expands the service's reach to five countries. The service allows businesses to connect with many potential customers over mobile platforms, effectively giving them a mobile storefront.

“We welcome the opportunity to work with such a well experienced group and provide a solution for the largest mobile market in Europe,” Walter Kostiuk, MobileBits CEO said. “There is an enormous opportunity to help consumers more easily connect with and receive merchant offers, while untethering them from their homes and desktops," said. “This adds to our global roll-out strategy and marks a new opportunity to partner with in-country experts to ensure success within the marketplace.”

SAMY customers can create and manage mobile campaigns, deals and loyalty programs. These loyalty programs include loyalty cards and memberships, integration with POS systems, vouchers, coupons and other offers.

The SAMY(4me) application has become the most popular shopping app on Apple's App Store in Europe, and will be launched in North America in the fall.

MobileBits acquired Aixum, a Swiss provider of mobile marketing solutions, in August. "This acquisition creates an unprecedented combination of integrated mobile network capabilities, mobile user reach and the most comprehensive suite of mobile marketing solutions available in the market today,” Andrew Marshall said at the time of the acquisition.

“Aixum has built an extensive advertising network and unique technology platform tailored for today's smartphones and tablet computing devices. This technology combined with MobileBits robust social mobile capabilities will provide the market with a unique end-to-end platform only before possible with enormous development and IT budgets,” Kostiuk said.

The company's clients include McDonald's, Spar and Chicoree.
