Azzurri Gets a Mobility Contract

The electronics retail Comet has been in need of a new mobility service, and it’s got it, thanks to Azzurri Communications. With their new contract, Azzurri will refresh Comet’s entire mobility estate of 1,500 devices, providing a new managed service to ensure Comet’s staff has the technology to do the jobs needed.

Included in the new managed service is connectivity to O2, as well as billing and reporting, through ITEM, Zzurri’s telecoms expense management tool. It also provides Comet with Fixed Mobile Convergence, so that customers can have their calls sent to the right person immediately, no matter where they are.

The services provided by Azzurri will also help Comet delivery drivers. Comet’s service helps customers replace damaged goods by taking a picture of them and sending it in, allowing for quick processing and refunds, or replacement.

“Azzurri has a very strong enterprise mobility offering as we provide an initial audit, device provision, and then ongoing management and billing,” says Vim Vithaldas, CEO of Azzurri. “Our independence allows us to help our customers make the right choices, particularly around what to do (or not to do) about BYOD. We can also structure contracts as flexibly as our customers want them to be. We’re very excited to be working with Comet to help them achieve their objectives.”

This is a nice sale for Azzurri, which beat out Vodafone for the two-year deal. It’ll have quite a few devices to work with, including iPads and smartphones, but it has the services and technology to help Comet make the most of all of them. Comet’s customers can look forward to better, faster service, thanks to Azzurri and its mobility expertise.
