AT&T Offers $100 Rebate to New Tablet Customers

AT&T knows there is nothing better than a promotion and with the holiday season slowly approaching, the telecommunications company has decided to promote its tablets by offering a one-time promotional discount of $100. AT&T will offer this one-time promotion to any new customers that purchase a tablet with a two-year data plan.

In an official statement, the company said it will begin the promotion in the beginning of November, offering the discount to any customer that purchases a tablet at an AT&T company owned store, online, or through selected agents and retailers. To be eligible, customers must purchase the tablet, a data plan, and sign a multi-year customer agreement.

Although this is geared toward established AT&T customers, in order to encourage the addition of a tablet, AT&T has created a new multi-data plan to increase the allotted data usage within an existing customers plan.

“Tablet customers can choose from several qualifying data plan options, including adding a tablet to an AT&T Mobile Share plan for just $10 per month. With Mobile Share, customers share a single bucket of data – from 1GB up to 20GB – with other devices, including smartphones, tablets, gaming devices, and more,” said AT&T.

In addition to the Mobile Share plan, customers can choose a DataConnect plan giving them between 250MBs and 5GBs per month. The price ranges from just $15 up to $50 depending on the usage needed. For any customer that exceeds they’re given plan, they will be charged a fee based on the overages.

David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T, said this is a great promotion for families looking to get the latest tech tool without having to over pay this holiday season. “AT&T has the widest variety of tablets and a broad choice of data plans to pick from,” said Christopher. “With this new promotional discount for any tablet we sell, we’re giving our customers even more reason to stock up on the hottest device of the season, and just in time for the holidays.”
