Wavefront, Canada's Center of Excellence for Wireless Commercialization and Research, was today chosen by Hewlett-Packard (HP) to become the premier reseller of HP's Unified Functional Testing (UFT) and Quick Test Professional (QTP) software.
As such, Wavefront is now able to provide large enterprises with best-in-class HP software for accelerated mobile application testing, automation and monitoring.
The company will be integrating UFT and QTP with its cloud-based testing and monitoring service, along with Perfecto Mobile's application testing solutions. These solutions will be accessible either remotely or onsite.
Boasting over 1,000 handsets, smartphones and tablets available for testing live global networks, this platform allows businesses to identify exactly how their applications will perform on actual mobile browsers, networks and devices.
Wavefront introduced its cloud-based mobile testing and monitoring service in January in order to accelerate the development cycle and time to market of applications on all devices.
"HP Canada is extremely happy and excited to announce our strategic partnership with Canada's Centre of Excellence for Wireless Commercialization and Research — Wavefront. Wavefront's thought leadership position around wireless communication in conjunction with HP's recent partnership with Perfecto Mobile position HP uniquely in the Mobile app delivery space," said Frances Newbigin, vice president and general manager for HP Enterprise Software and Solutions at Hewlett-Packard Canada, in a statement.
"The strategic partnership with both Wavefront and Perfecto are what will launch HP's enterprise class testing, monitoring and security portfolio into unparalleled dominance of the mobile application delivery market."
HP will be participating in the Wavefront Wireless Summits this week in Vancouver, Canada offering product demonstrations meant to address application lifecycle and mobile testing with UFT and QTP.
In January, Wavefront also teamed up with Anritsu Electronics, an icon in wireless test solutions, to lower the costs and increase the availability of LTE development and testing for small and medium-sized enterprise customers, device manufacturers, and mobile virtual network operators in Canada.
