With arguably the most exciting NBA weekend of the season quickly approaching, Shaw Direct has announced the latest release in its Shaw Go suite of apps.
With NBA All-Star weekend festivities like the Sprint Celebrity Basketball Game, Foot Locker Three Point Shootout and everyone’s favorite, the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, closing in, Shaw Go announced the launch of the NBA League Pass for Shaw and Shaw Direct customers in Canada.
"Every shot, every pass, every moment is important in a game. That’s why Shaw continues to innovate and offer customers great offerings like the NBA League Pass app on Shaw Go to redefine what it means to follow your favorite game," said Peter Bissonnette, president, Shaw Communications Inc.
Shaw customers who already have access to NBA League Pass will get free access to the app and receiving unlimited access to hundreds of out-of-markets NBA games. Customers will also be able to use their mobile devices to access both live games and playback games for up to 48 hours after it has ended.
"This new app takes all of the action of the NBA and packs it into a mobile app made exclusively for our NBA League Pass customers, ensuring that with Shaw, you won’t miss a thing," said Bissonnette.
Shaw, a diversified communications and media company that provides broadband cable television, high-speed Internet, home phone, and telecommunications services, is also running a separate promotion for Shaw Friends. Those customers enrolled in Shaw Friends, programs for customers who subscribe to two or more services, can receive NBA League Pass as a complimentary package for the rest of the NBA season.
Typically, NBA League Pass requires a one-time $98 subscription fee for Shaw customers, but Shaw has since decided to wave that penalty and offer the complimentary services for its most loyal consumers.
