U.S. Presidents App Gets Upgrade for President's Day

In celebration of President’s Day 2013, MEDL Mobile, Inc. and Encyclopedia Britannica will team up to give the Britannica Kids: U.S. Presidents app an upgrade, MEDL announced in a recent statement.

The application includes games, facts and quizzes for each president, covering their birthday, their wife, their vice president and interesting facts on each Commander in Chief.

The app, launched in 2012, will now have full biographies for each President, chronologically listed from life to death. Information includes education, political careers and Presidential terms. The updated app will include improved functionality and a better user interface for iPhone 5 and iOS 6; a subsequent update will include enhanced functionality for the iPad3.

“The biography feature adds more depth to the app. With a touch of the finger kids can now learn more about each president’s life,” said Dave Swartz, president and COO at MEDL Mobile. “This feature allows kids to easily explore the forefathers of our country and the nation’s chief executives of the present day.”

The app is currently for sale in the Apple App store on a special President’s Day price of 99 cents.

MEDL Mobile develops, acquires and publishes applications for both the Apple and Android mobile platforms. The company creates custom applications for clients and companies such as Monster.com, the New York Times Company, Teleflora, Telefonica and Medtronic, giving each the ability to grow their customer base and improve their reach.

MEDL Mobile works with intellectual properties such as Encyclopedia Britannica to mobilize and monetize them.

Encyclopedia Britannica, Inc. is an icon of education publishing, with its information now available online and on wireless devices. With electronic publishing under its belt since the 1980s, education products are available electronically for schools and libraries, language-study, e-books, and reference works including the Merriam-Webster subsidiary.
