Verizon Releases New 4G LTE Router

4G LTE networks are sweeping the nation, if for no other reason than they are the network that will move data from one place or another on a mobile device the fastest. That doesn’t mean 4G/LTE speeds are only reserved for a person’s cell phone these days; there are all kinds of devices that can hook up to a 4G network out on the market.

Even digital cameras are getting the highest speed connection possible.

You’d be mistaken if you thought the 4G network was only for those devices that work wirelessly. Verizon just released its 4G LTE router, and it can be used for $99 with the signing of a two-year contract with the company.

The device is one that truly will allow you to run all of your wireless and wired Internet-connected devices without much in the way of lag time.

There’s no fancy name for this particular router either, simply called the “Verizon 4G LTE Router,” but the unassuming name doesn’t mean it’s some hunk of junk. The device can take on as many as 20 different Wi-Fi connections at one time, and has four Ethernet ports in case you’d rather go the wired route.

There are actually some devices that still don’t have access to wireless networks, and as funny as that is to believe, Verizon was clearly planning for those with this device.

Verizon teamed with Netgear for the creation of this router, and it is fairly small and thin with two giant antennas poking out the top. If you don’t want to go the contract route with the device, you can pay a flat $269. Wireless plans for the router can run as little as $20 a month, but users will surely want to add some extra GBs if running a home network on this machine.
