The Ascom Deutschland GmbH was just awarded a contract from the Westphalia-Lippe regional Association (LWL) to help provide additional protection to its employees. It’s wireless on site communication solutions are used for hospitals and other major facilities that need instant, real-time communications. As a leading provider of Enterprise Mobility, Ascom offers a wide range of customized devices, voice and messaging capabilities.

For the network testing, Ascom using TEMS, the gold standard for measuring, analyzing and optimizing mobile networks. It’s network helps improve the customer experience, operational efficiency, and network reliability.

Now, Ascom will bring its technology and communications solutions to LWL, which is an organization in the northern part of the German federal state that is responsible for making decisions concerning the basic policy of the association and the budget and elect the director and the country administrators.

The LWL is the first customer in Germany to rely on the new IP-DECT system. “The good experiences with the system now logically led to equipping the ZFP location at Eickelborn with the most up-to-date technology,” said LWL in a press release. “At the same time, the solution encompasses the connection of the previously separately functioning alarm systems in the two facilities.”

Under the new contract, Ascom will be responsible for creating a flexible and scalable system for LWL that can manage up to 1,000 terminal devices with a final expansion planned.

Jose Gebauer, managing director of Ascom Wireless Solutions DACH, said he is happy Ascom is in charge of this big undertaking. “We are proud that one of the largest forensics facilities in Europe has trusted in the proven, highly efficient communications solutions from Ascom,” said Gebauer. “This order strengthens our large market share in the German forensics and psychiatric segments."
