Wowza’s newest GoCoder App for iOS users has a few upgrades too, such as an orientation that can be in portrait mode. With this release of the new GoCoder app, if the end-user wants to record live broadcasts, all that must be done is to route live content, using either TCP or UDP transports, to connect to the Wowza Media Server in order to have the streamed content sent to their preferred Apple device. The process is virtually stress free and offers complete security too using RTSP authentication; The Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) is what is used to control streaming.
What’s more, the GoCoder app offers an intuitive, contextual interface that lets users choose video filters (B/W, blur, B/W+blur). It even has a manual bit-rate streaming selection; a touch-to-focus and touch-to-expose capabilities to help keep videoing agile and is able to have users utilize torch mode—this determines whether the flash is on or off—for constant lighting.
