Jacada, Vocantas Deliver Custom Mobile Visual IVR Apps

While many people might use their smartphones to occupy their time while waiting in line, Jacada and Vocantas have created a visual IVR app that allows customers to avoid the line entirely.

“We are thrilled to partner with Vocantas, a proven IVR provider with an impeccable track record of delivering voice solutions that pack a punch” said Jacada CEO Guy Yair. “Our Visual IVR partnership with Vocantas will enable healthcare, higher education and utility organizations to benefit from an innovative new solution that will improve customer service satisfaction and reduce operational costs.”

Instead of building custom mobile apps themselves, customers can extend the capabilities of the Vocantas IVR into a mobile app menu. Some of the major application areas the two companies see are the healthcare, college and utility markets. The apps will be available for nearly every smartphone platform in existence.

A screenshot of a sample application shows a user selecting from a menu of options relating to a power company, including billing, meter reading, outage information and repair services.

“We are excited to bring this new technology to our existing platforms. We have always been a ‘me first,’ rather than a ‘me too’ organization and we continue to lead the way, seeking out the very best for our customers, with their tight budgets and need for efficient outreach in mind,” said Gary T. Hannah, Vocantas president and CEO. “The visual IVR experience is specifically tailored to meet the growing demand of our multiple markets.”

Hannah said that company was committed to delivering the best in IVR services.

“We will always bring the best solutions to market for our customers that result in optimum end user satisfaction, a commitment to being at the forefront of technology, and most importantly directly impacting customer service performance and call handling time, cost reduction and business processes improvement,” he said.
