Jabra Offers Intuitive Tool for the Workplace

The Bluetooth accessory game is a big one. Every year more and more companies are putting out knick-knacks galore - from speakers, to toys, to helicopters – even practical office equipment – the Bluetooth well is all but dried up.

Jabra is one company you might already be familiar with. Among the swarm of Bluetooth accessory makers, Jabra has made a name for itself offering consumer headsets, speakers, and professional office tools among its eclectic line of products. After having just expanded a new line of headsets, Jabra is now also upping the ante with a new ‘MOTION ’ office Bluetooth headset system. The new system will bring triple connectivity along with a suite of intuitive controls.

MOTION  Office will be available in early Q2 2014 and will retail at an MSRP of $380.

MOTION  Office will have the ability to answer and end calls from a landline, softphone (software program running telephone calls,) or cell phone. In an attempt to ease what can sometimes be an arduous process of Bluetooth pairing a device, the new MOTION  dock will come equipped with Near Field Communication technology that will allow you to sync and setup your NFC-enabled smartphones with little more than a tap.

The Jabra office solution will also function under a Class 1 Bluetooth, meaning that it will provide a 100-meter range to its connected devices. Most Bluetooth devices will only function at up to 30 feet, but  the new MOTION  office will function at up to 300 feet.

Pete Fox, the general manager of Jabra North America said, "We're well into this new age of work being defined as 'what we do,' rather than 'where we work, the big idea now is simplicity and adaptability. Complexity is no longer acceptable. We expect our technology to understand intuitively what we want it to do so we can focus on the work at hand. The Jabra MOTION  Office takes a big stride in this direction."
