Goodspeed's Mobile Wi-Fi Global Footprint Expanded Thanks to a Partnership with Vodafone

All around the world people are becoming increasingly dependent on Internet connectivity, and travelers are no exception. Goodspeed is a high-speed wireless Internet access service supplied through a mobile hotspot that is especially intended for use by travelers.

The hotspot provides up to 1GB of mobile data per day through one of three available pricing plans, eliminating data roaming charges and featuring 10 SIM card slots, an eight-hour battery life and support for multiple devices. Travelers are able to use the device to create their own private WLAN network and share it with any Wi-Fi-enabled device, effectively solving most of the mobile connectivity challenges that face individuals and organizations alike.

Goodspeed keeps it simple with a single button that instantly launches the Wi-Fi connection, and the personal protected wireless network is substantially more secure as opposed to public Wi-Fi hotspots. Furthermore, organizations have access to centralized connectivity management and administration tools and statistics with the purchase of a Business Plan (the other available options are Lite and Pro).

Uros, the company behind Goodspeed, has announced an important new partnership with Vodafone that will significantly expand the service’s global footprint. In July 2015 twelve new Goodspeed destinations will be launched based on Vodafone’s networks as well as those of its roaming partners. The European countries of Albania, Malta, Romania and Turkey, the African countries of Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, South Africa and Tanzania as well as New Zealand will now be included in Uros’ global coverage.

“With Vodafone contributing to our global footprint, we can be sure our customers can connect confidently wherever they go,” said Tommi Uhari, CEO of Uros. “We believe this agreement is a great step forward in our mission to remove issues related to international data roaming.”

Goodspeed’s footprint already covers most of North and South America, large portions of Europe and Southeast Asia, and Australia, forming a total of 77 countries including the twelve new additions. As Uros’ partnership with Vodafone continues to develop the company expects this coverage to continue to grow.
