Gartner Recognizes DMI for Managed Mobility Services in its Magic Quadrant

Managing mobile devices in the enterprise ecosystem is getting more complicated as more services are added. As a global end-to-end mobility company delivering mobile enterprise solutions, DMI provides Managed mobility services (MMS), a way to simplify the complications of the enterprise ecosystem. And Gartner just recognized the company as a leader in its Magic Quadrant as part of the annual Worldwide Report on MMS.

Gartner defines and describes managed mobility services as companies that plan, procure, provision, activate, manage and support mobile devices, mobile network services, related mobile management systems, mobile applications and application stores. Based on this definition, the research firm identifies vendors that meet these criteria and evaluate them on completeness of vision and their ability to execute.

Gartner also categorizes core deliverables for MMS into six categories, which are: sourcing and logistics management; mobile service management; device and system management; application and collaboration management (including mobile application development); security and content management and program and financial management.

Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, DMI is a pure-play MMS provider, and according to Gartner, it delivered against all six MMS categories defined in this Magic Quadrant. The company is one of the few managed service providers focused wholly on mobility with solutions spanning devices and custom applications.

The company manages more than 900,000 devices around the world, with only 25 percent of that number residing outside of the US. Its customer base includes hundreds of Fortune 1000 commercial companies as well as all fifteen U.S. Federal Departments.

"Our customers have deployed millions of mobile devices, which makes managed mobility services a critical necessity. Partnering with DMI for MMS eliminates the learning curve for enterprises, saving them time and money," said Jay Sunny Bajaj, DMI founder and CEO.

As recognized by Gartner, DMI’s strength is its pure-play mobile-centric organization, which delivers solutions ranging from project-based consulting to annuity agreements for incident management. This includes: big data management and analytics; omni-channel commerce; UX, Web and app development and deployment; government-grade mobile security and data privacy; and best-in-class managed mobility services.

In addition to this award, DMI was also recognized by Forrester Research Inc. as one of only five vendors that offer complete support for all ten core mobile device life-cycle services. In the report, Forrester said, “I&O executives must assess their firms’ current ability to address the 10 elements of mobile device life-cycle management services including overall strategy, device configuration and management, help desk support, and device depot capabilities.”
