ADM Embeds Qosmos ixEngine Into its Policy Control and Traffic Management System

Qosmos, a provider of IP traffic classification and network intelligence technology, recently helped ADM Systems, a provider of traffic management solutions, in its traffic management, quality of service (QoS) and subscriber analytics goals. In particular, ADM opted to embed the Qosmos ixEngine SDK inside the ADM S1 product line.

This announcement comes almost exactly two months after Qosmos completed a joint ‘Proof of Chaining’ service function in fixed broadband networks with the help of Telekom Research & Development (TM R&D).

“Partnering with Qosmos makes our solution stronger: our service provider customers can now benefit from the market’s most advanced IP classification technology to power their traffic management, QoS and subscriber analytics,” said Vladimir Vishnevsky, director of Software Development at ADM.

ADM Systems supplies traffic management systems for fixed-line and mobile service providers. They rely on ADM’s solutions to optimize traffic structure and enhance subscriber experience based on real-time network intelligence. Other capabilities include subscriber analytics, parental control and regulatory compliance.

The ADM S1 monitors, analyzes and controls traffic in mobile and fixed-line operator networks. It is based on advanced deep packet inspection (DPI) technology that is capable of processing upwards of 20 Gbps of traffic on a standard 1U server and can scale up horizontally in a multi-server cluster.

Meanwhile, a control function performs policy enforcement according to tariff plans, priority level, application, time of day and network conditions. An analytics module rounds out the ADM S1’s functionality, enabling customized statistics and reports about protocols, domains, subscribers and websites.

The Qosmos ixEngine is an SDK that comprises libraries and tools that can be easily integrated into networking and security products. The ixEngine increases the efficiency of ADM’s product line by providing visibility into more than 2,500 protocols and more than 4,300 types of metadata.

“Real-time application level visibility is essential for telecom operators to optimize network performance, ensure quality of service and monetize services,” said Thibaut Bechetoille, CEO at Qosmos. “Qosmos is pleased to partner with ADM Systems and provide the necessary network intelligence technology.”
