Milmex Selects Airspan Technology for the Implementation of $25 Million 4G Mobile Project in Poland

South Poland’s leading information systems integrator, Milmex Systemy Komputerowe,  announced a partnership with the global provider of 4G wireless solution provider, Airspan Networks Inc.

Under the partnership, Milmex will implement a countrywide 4G mobile communications network incorporating Airspan's Air4G WiMAX/LTE cutting-edge technology.

Airspan's Air4G base station delivers LTE and WiMAX functionality which allows both platforms to run simultaneously. Milmex is combining Air4G with the latest and most robust core network products available. This will enable customers to enjoy true 4G broadband connectivity in urban and rural Polish regions alike.

Other benefits of Airspan technology include fast and easy deployment, low power consumption, and outdoor compatibility. The technology will also enable Milmex to reduce its operational cost and increase revenues.

The total initial investment by Milmex, including Airspan infrastructure, is more than $25 million for the first phase deployment of their network. The project is intended to address the growing demand for bandwidth across Poland.

“Milmex has been an ideal and visionary partner for this Poland deployment,” said Amit Ancikovsky, president of Sales and Products at Airspan Networks. “Poland faces many deployment challenges, but has been one of the faster growing broadband connectivity nations in Europe. The Polish population is constantly demanding newer, faster, more reliable connectivity. We are very proud of our growing relationship with Milmex and are looking forward to the continued deployment of this ambitious project.”

“We selected Airspan, a 4G equipment vendor that could provide not only the best 4G equipment and features but also the company with the strongest product roadmap, ensuring a reliable, robust and future-proof network,” said Zbigniew Krzysko, president of the Board at Milmex Systemy Komputerowe.

Late last month, Airspan Networks announced that Aptics Trading, a Zimbabwe Internet Service Provider, selected Airspan 4G equipment to deliver broadband services to a large portion of the nation.
