Winncom Technologies, Airspan Networks Team Up to Offer 4G LTE and WiMAX Solutions

Winncom Technologies has recently inked a new distribution agreement with Airspan Networks to offer its customers Airspan's suite of 4G LTE products.

This new partnership will enable Winncom to provide cost-effective solutions to different operators and vertical markets such as smart grid utilities, transportation, and public safety.

Bernie Vaysenberg, director of Sales at Winncom said that they are pleased to join forces with Airspan, a partner which will support their strategic initiatives to offer true 4G LTE solutions to their customers.

Airspan’s product portfolio includes extensive range of 4G RAN solutions that operates in the carrier bands, from 700MHz to 6GHz, and delivers a 4G solution for high-speed data, voice, and multimedia services.

Also, the company’s AirSynergy Outdoor Pico Base Station with Integrated Wireless Backhaul and the Air4G Macro Base Station support a wide range of broadband wireless interfaces including 4G LTE and 4G WiMAX. The integration of both backhaul and access technologies, and the multi-platform offering, are industry firsts. 

“Carriers and operators have an immediate need to offer their customers 4G capabilities. Airspan bridges the gap between WiMAX and LTE technologies, enabling operators to deploy radio access networks with 4G WiMAX immediately with a seamless and affordable migration path to 4G LTE technology,” Vaysenberg added.

With the new partnership, Winncom stays at the forefront of the global networking industry and has built a reputation for innovative solutions, strong business ethics, and solid customer support.

In other news, Winncom Technologies recently announced that one of its partners, Wavion Wireless Networks, has released the WBSn, a Wi-Fi system to deliver Gigabit capacity and outdoor speeds of 450 Mbps.
