Motorola Droid 4 Specs Revealed: A Big RAZR with Keyboard

Independent online news site Mashable reports that unofficial specifications and pictures of the forthcoming Motorola Droid 4 smartphones have been revealed by Droid Life. The leaked specs indicate that Motorola Droid 4 is very similar to the Droid RAZR, with the addition of a physical QWERTY keyboard and 4G LTE.

According to Mashable, Droid 4 offers a four-inch qHD screen, which is slightly smaller than RAZR’s 4.3-inch display. While Droid 4 utilizes the same qHD display technology used in Droid 3, the RAZR employs AMOLED display technology. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. In addition, for video chats, Droid 4 includes an 8-megapixel camera on the back as well as a HD-capable one on the front. Plus, it supports fast data transfer via LTE. As for the keyboard, it is a five-row, slideout edge-lit, PC-like format.

Slated for release on December 8 at Verizon stores, the Droid Life blog post shows that over the Thanksgiving weekend, Motorola unveiled two new devices for China: the Motorola HD XT928 and the Motorola MT917. Normally, Droid Life ignores most of the phone releases outside of the U.S., but these caught the attention because they offer 720p HD displays, which is a first for any Motorola device. As per the description on Droid Life site, each phone will sport a 4.5-inch 720p LCD display and 13 MP rear camera, along with the rest of the specs similar to Droid RAZR and 4.

As per Droid Life’s guess, one of the two 720p HD phones for China is likely to be introduced to customers in the U.S. early next year.

Meanwhile, Droid Life also provided some light on the accessories for Droid 4. It includes lap docks, car docks and wireless keyboard with trackpad.
