Verizon and ProBrand Launch Indoor/Outdoor 4G LTE Flat Antenna

Verizon Wireless and Pro Brand International have launched a sleek and simple-to-install indoor/outdoor 4G LTE flat antenna that will be most suitable for the home or small office.

In a release, Jim Crownover, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Pro Brand, said, “Antennas are often an overlooked component in many devices, but are absolutely vital in ensuring a high performance environment.  Testing and data obtained from Verizon’s LTE Innovation Center show that Pro Brand’s well-designed and matched antenna not only helps data throughput in fringe areas, but significantly increases data throughput in areas with strong signal strength.”

Verizon Wireless is trailblazing in the wireless broadband arena with its 4G LTE technology and showed great foresight in creating a collaborative environment with the Innovation Center.  We are so proud and excited to be a pioneer in this field with Verizon Wireless,” Crownover added.

The new antenna is expected to optimize Verizon’s 4G LTE service. The Pro Brand 4G LTE antenna is essentially a MIMO patch antenna that is designed for suitability with Verizon’s LTE spectrum band. It greatly enhances reception and transmission of data over 4G LTE especially in low signal lying areas. Besides it also boosts performance and quality of service in strong signal areas, confirmed officials.

The indoor/outdoor LTE antenna features an indoor stand and wall mount besides also a low loss dual coax cable with SMA connectors.

Pro Brand specializing in antenna design and manufacturing joined hands with Verizon to provide users with optimum performance on any wireless device.  Verizon’s collaborative approach with the LTE Innovation Center was leveraged by Pro Brand to design an antenna that can be used for different applications, stated company sources.

The company serves the satellite sector serving DBS providers. Pro Brand serves the North American DBS operators, and specializes in Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs). ProBrand manufacturing facility in China takes care of joint development of new product ideas and specifications up to volume production and distribution.

Pro Brand designs and develops complete antenna systems encompassing receptor design, Low Noise Block Converters, electronics, circuitry, software and software integration services, RF-related design and equipment and installation accessories, said officials.

Verizon’s Innovation Program promotes collaboration in order to deploy 4G LTE fast. Its LTE Innovation Center and its Application Innovation Center have been instrumental in the development of non-traditional devices, services and applications working on the Verizon wireless networks.
