Bell, a Canada based communications company,
reportedly has expanded its next-generation service by adding three new data centers.
The company officials said that its next generation service, the National Hosting Services (NHS) portfolio, provides managed data centre infrastructure services for mid- to enterprise-sized organization to help them ensure high availability, security and compliance of their critical information technology.
The company says that the solution mitigates business risk and improves the strategic focus of an organization’s in-house IT resources.
Located in Calgary, Toronto and Montreal, the data center facilities offer co-location hosting, managed hosting and a range of managed IT infrastructure services.
Moreover, to make it more better and professional, the NHS team has been staffed with a group of hosting technology and operations professionals with years of experience in the data centre hosting services industry.
“Bell’s long-standing position as an industry leader is based on one simple principle - everything we do revolves around our customers,” said Joseph Lo, vice president of customer experience and operations for small and medium businesses at Bell. “We understand the challenges involved in hosting and maintaining an environment and we channel all our experience and expertise into enabling our customers to succeed. In short, we deliver solutions that ensure high availability and security, while being cost effective.”
Lo claimed that by using the company’s energy efficient facilities, customers can reduce their own environmental footprint and help meet their green objectives.
“Given its position as a leading communications company relied upon by so many throughout Canada, Bell required its new data centres to work at maximum efficiency levels, avoid downtime and remain flexible for the inevitable growth that the company will see in the coming years,” said Brad Marks, country manager for APC in Canada.
Marks said that by using feedback from decades of working with data center managers, APC has developed equipment and enclosures that ensure individual customers receive the most appropriate and reliable infrastructure for their unique businesses
“Our solution will enable Bell to pass along extremely powerful services directly to consumers,” he said.
APC by Schneider Electric, a global player in integrated critical power and cooling services worked closely with Bell to work out a reliable, rack-based architecture that ensures optimal energy efficiency.
