Helping companies to offset the impact on operator roaming revenues of the recent EU pricing regulations,
MACH has announced its EU Compliance Power Pack.
According to the company, the new EU Compliance Power Pack helps the operators to create new revenue streams offsetting the anticipated effects of the EU regulation.
Recently, European regulators introduced far reaching pricing restrictions and administrative obligations on mobile operators. These regulations add further reductions in caps becoming effective in 2011. Also, starting July 1, Voice, SMS and data service prices will be capped. The new regulations stipulate the operators to bill per second.
By offering timely customer notification whenever a usage threshold is reached, MACH also includes in the pack its powerful solution to the “bill shock” problem. With this, mobile operators can offer timely data usage information to their customers while roaming. Also, operators need not worry about any administrative and compliance burden as the solution provides operators with a complete set of compliance solutions.
“The regulations approved by the European Parliament, combined with increasing competition both from within the mobile industry and from alternative communications technologies, mean that operators have to continuously monitor and reassess retail and wholesale pricing strategies," says Lodewijk Cornelis, CMO, MACH, in a press release. "MACH solutions turn what seems at first sight to be a huge obstacle to growth into an opportunity for operators to differentiate their offerings.”
The solutions announced by MACH help operators to increase revenues while at the same time maximizing value. The solution also rates usage data in real time by reference to regulatory capping.
In May last year, the company announced that the MTN Group had exclusively
signed a Framework Agreement with MACH to cover its operations in the Middle East and Africa. MTN is already a MACH client; however this was the first time a group agreement had been made. MTN Yemen was also expected to migrate to MACH as a new customer during 2008.
