Brough Turner Addresses Keynote Lineup at 4GWE Conference in Los Angeles

From the last decade, technological developments have allowed personal wireless communications to become part of the global, information-centric culture. The use of cellular telephones, personal digital assistants and wireless computer networks has become common. Currently, wireless communication devices are working in the third generation (3G) and we are rapidly approaching the fourth (4G).

Recently, TMC and Crossfire Media announced that telecommunications industry veteran and founder of netBlazr, Brough Turner, will deliver a keynote address at their 4GWE Conference entitled, “WiFi - The Real 4G.” This session will take place on October 4 at 3:15 on day one of the three-day 4GWE event. It will look at current WiFi deployments and illustrate why we are at the tipping point of Broadband Wireless.

The 4GWE conference runs October 4-6, 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Brough Turner is a well known and well respected communications industry engineer and entrepreneur. He is founder of netBlazr, a startup working to change the landscape for broadband Internet access in urban areas of the United States.

Turner earlier worked as co-founder and CTO of Natural MicroSystems and NMS Communications. His leading interests are technology and innovation. His career has included roles in engineering, operations, finance, marketing and customer support. He writes and is widely quoted on telecommunications topics in trade and general business publications, and he is a frequent speaker at telecom industry events around the world.

Since 2001, Turner has focused on the wireless infrastructure and mobile applications. His 3G and 4G tutorials are widely popular and usually appear at the top of Google 3G and 4G tutorial searches. Details on the entire conference program are now available online.
