OnMobile Announces Acquisition of Livewire Mobile

OnMobile Global Limited recently announced the acquisition of Livewire Mobile, following which the newly combined entity will emerge as a one-stop shop for extensive Value Added Services catering to the higher end of the mobile subscription market. This acquisition will bring together OnMobile’s esteemed customer base with the top notch clientele of Livewire Mobile, securing them a place with the top six mobile service providers in the North American market.

In a statement, David Fondots of the joint entity said, “As operators invest in LTE migrations to address the exponential growth of mobile data consumption, it is critical to offer solutions that not only acquire, but retain high value subscribers. With embedded device solutions conveniently tied to Operators' billing services, OnMobile will now be able to provide consumers with personalized Value Added Service bundles and pricing that cannot be matched by OTT players and other siloed services. RBT, Music and gaming are some of the fastest growing mobile market sectors.”

The acquisition deal allows both OnMobile and Livewire Mobile to leverage their combined synergies to package, manage, aggregate and distribute value added content to enhance the end user experience. The combination of OnMobile and Livewire Mobile enables the telecom providers in the market to leverage on these combined efficiencies to reap profits from solutions over and above the standard data plans.

Fondots went on to say, “Our ability to leverage extensive content provider relationships and proven expertise in mobile application marketing, give OnMobile a distinct advantage to deliver sticky content solutions that allow operators an opportunity to regain a stake in the value chain, acquire new subscribers, and monetize their LTE investment.”
