Monster Watts' iQ View Offers Wireless Charging for Samsung Galaxy S4

The Galaxy S4 is a magnificent phone, but it's missing just one thing that so many customers really wanted – namely, the ability to charge its battery without connecting to a cable. While the Nokia Lumia 920 has had this for a while, the Galaxy S4 had its own features to boast about. Still, what would hurt in adding wireless charging to the long list of features the phone has?

This is exactly what Monster Watts, a creator of mobile phone wireless charging accessories, did by releasing its five-in-one iQ View wireless charging flip cover built for use with the Samsung Galaxy S4. This new charger has two uses: It adds wireless charging functionality to out-of-the-box Samsung Galaxy S4s, and it protects the phones from smudges, scratches and dirt accumulation. The back cover from this accessory also makes the phone more durable as a whole.

Besides its primary uses, the iQ View flip cover also introduces a “quick view” window. This allows users to save energy by keeping the phone's screen off even if they press the power button, and lets them accept, reject and end calls without hassle.

To use the iQ View, the user will have to remove the back cover from a Samsung Galaxy S4 and replace it with iQ View's back cover. The flip cover's design allows for NFC charging through certain contact points with the back of the phone.

IQ View's “Quick View” window also shows other valuable information, such as cellular signal, battery status, messages, missed calls, and the time and date. At this point, the Monster Watts iQ View wireless charging flip cover is available for pre-order. The company is accepting pre-orders at a discounted price of $32 with free shipping to United States residents. The complete kit with the charging pad also sells for a discounted price of $69 on their website.
