IN Switch to Offer Over 40 New Solutions in Line with Partnering with OpenWave Mobility

Having a robust portfolio of solutions is something many companies strive for when looking to maintain market leadership. IN Switch, a VAS mobile platforms and solutions provider for the Latin America and Caribbean markets, has taken this approach by entering into a full reseller agreement with OpenWave Mobility,  a global software innovator for the mobile telecommunications industry. The partnership will enable IN Switch to power at least 40 solutions to its customer base in the Caribbean and Latin America (CaLA) region.

Among the newly added services include OpenWave Mobility’s suite of Policy Control and Charging (PCC) products which offer mobile video optimization and mobile analytics. Mobile video optimization enables organizations to minimize the total cost of ownership of a network while offering the best possible experience. OpenWave Mobility’s mobile data analytics provide a wealth of information on subscriber, billing, demographic and website data which should offer business insights for marketing departments, operations and advertisers.

OpenWave Mobility is also well known for its congestion control and mobile charging solutions. Congestion control helps mobile carriers maximize revenue through network optimization, manage congestion dynamically in hotspots, and offer great viewing experiences with quick starts when it comes to video offerings. With the mobile charging solution in place, carriers can develop sophisticated data product offerings that are offered either as tailored price plans or one-off custom promotions.

The existing IN Switch product offerings have gone a long way in helping mobile operators enhance the overall customer experience as well as ramp up revenue. Some of its more popular solutions include TopUp and Mobile Money Platform, USSD Gateway and the Service Creation Environment.

According to the VP of Products, Marketing and Strategy at OpenWave Mobility, Indranil Chatterje, IN Switch’s team has already completed the OpenWave Mobility’s training program and is “fully prepared to provide high quality sales and technical support for OpenWave Mobility’s products.” He said that the company was pleased with the agreement which should hopefully help IN Switch’s customers in the CaLA market manage mobile data traffic much more effectively.
